Listen, I LOVE the holidays. LOVE them. It’s my job to make everything merry and bright around here, but can I be honest—it’s not always so holly jolly around these parts. So to make the most of the holiday season without losing your sanity, the kids and I are sharing some of our favorite holiday hacks over on TLC.
We started with making a holiday countdown calendar to spread out the holiday cheer throughout the month. Each day, the kids open a new surprise activity, like making memory ornaments or having an indoor campout around the Christmas tree.
This was a really fun video to make–so come check it out!

We’ve let the big secret out–We Are Having A Baby!! Now it’s time to reveal if Aaron and Lyla are going to have a baby brother or a baby sister. Since gender reveal parties were not a thing when I was pregnant with Aaron and Lyla, I wanted to share the news with the kids in a really fun way that they would always remember. However, a quick search on Pinterest will show you that gender reveal ideas can get really crazy and super expensive. Instead, I put together a few party ideas that were all about the older siblings. Check out my latest from TLC to see how we made a gender reveal party that was all about the siblings.
