It’s officially summer! The kids are out of school. Our bags are packed, and my swagger wagon is gassed up and ready to hit the road. My kiddos and I are planning on spending most of these long summer days at our family beach house having lots of fun in the sun. That’s one of the best parts of being a blogger, you can just take your “office” with you. Even though we will be having a blast splashing in the ocean and building sandcastles, we will be missing our main man, their Daddy. My hubby will be working hard during the weekdays and joining us at the beach on the weekends. To be honest, I’m feeling pretty guilty for leaving him behind (not that guilty because I’m still totally going), but I thought since he will be working so hard during the week and traveling so much to see us on the weekends, I’ll help him out and make sure his old car is ready to be beach bound and that he’s all stocked up while we are away.

When I took the keys from him this morning, I was shocked, to say the least. Shocked! Just look at the backseat of his car. It’s just so… so clean! Not a broken toy or half eaten snack in sight. How is this even possible? At this point, I thought all of our possessions had crumbs from our kids. Simply amazing!Dad's carEnough of this distraction, I need to get this man’s car ready to a weekend beach goer! Since his car has A LOT of miles, it needs some extra care so his car requires Pennzoil High Mileage Oil because it helps to reduce leaks in higher mileage engines. And we need that engine running clean and going strong for a long time. Even better, right now Walmart has a Rollback on Pennzoil oil changes for high mileage cars. Plus Pennzoil also offers a free warranty that covers 15 engine parts. Helping out my honey and saving money– I call that multitasking!

Once I dropped off his car at the Walmart Automotive Care Center, it was time to shop while I waited, and I knew right away what aisle I needed to hit first. I could not leave my man alone day after day without proper sustenance.

Just to be on the safe side, I’ll just buy this entire freezer. That should last him a few days, right? When I was done shopping, my hubby’s car was ready to go and so was I. But not before I loaded up my bags and bags of frozen pizzas (and sunblock because it’s going to be a long summer!)  Time to hand over his car and hit the road!

So these beach bums are off to the ocean and will be waiting patiently until their Daddy arrives this weekend

We will be at the beach all summer. Are you headed anywhere fun?

Us, too! We get a season parking pass for the beach, so we will be there every sunny day this summer.

We live at the beach during the summer months! Every warm day we can squeeze out of summer means we are beach bound. I wish we had a family beach house! lol

I plan on spending a good chunk of time on the golf course and poolside this summer! I wish I lived closer to a beach, but Kentucky is landlocked. 🙁

I’d buy all the pizzas too.
We have a beach house at Cape Cod and I can’t wait to go! We’re going twice!

We live on the coast so we’re pretty spoiled with being close to the water, but oddly enough we don’t get to the beach as much as we’d like. Hoping to change that this year and also maybe hike more and maybe even try kayaking for the first time. Have a fun time at the beach!!

I’m so envious of all of you that get to spend your summer at the beach. We don’t live near a beach and I don’t go that often. The last one I went to was when I went on a cruise to the Bahama Islands. I’d love to go every day.

No where fun for us this summer sadly. But the beach? That looks amazing. Our beach is way too cold to swim in even on the hottest of days, but I wish we could go hang out at the beach!

I really wish I lived near the beach! I am actually going on a roadtrip this weekend just to be near the beach!

We had a high mileage car! I miss it to be honest with you. We always changed our oil!

We start our summer vacation tomorrow when school let’s out. We have two camps and swimming lessons so we are going to be swamped!
I’m hoping to get a trip to the beach but I think we are going to be busy building a pergola.

My current car is very low mileage but it is a pretty old model. Regular maintenance is essential for me.

We are lucky most of our beaches dont’ require parking passes. I like that you can get a pass.

I forget that my Walmart has a place for oil! I need to stop in and get my car looked at. I am about to cross over into the 100k mark!

We are headed to a beach next week – but a lake beach – not an ocean beach. My hubbie takes care of all the maintenance on our vehicles – I don’t want anything to do with it.

That’s a good idea to get the oil changed and shopping done all in one stop. I know that the busy travel season is approaching.

That is a great price for an oil change. I like that you can shop while you wait!

It’s almost the weekend, so that means Dad gets to come to the beach! We don’t have any beach trips coming up, but we are heading to Vermont soon. I’m putting an oil change on my Walmart to-do list right now! #client
