I have a little trick I like to play on my husband from time to time, and my three-year old daughter is my accomplice. Whispering into her ear I say “Go find Daddy and sing your favorite FROZEN song to him! Sing Let it Go!” She scampers off to find her main man and in seconds she is belting out with real gusto and carefully choreographed hand motions every note to her favorite song. She even ends with “The cold never bothered me anyway” in a style very reminiscent of Cher. And every time she sings those lyrics and throws her imaginary crown into the snow, she leaves her Daddy with tears in his eyes and me giggling at how that little lady has her Daddy wrapped around her finger. So even though we’re still In Summer she has made it clear she will be wearing a Queen Elsa dress to her first day of school. Because I’d rather her teachers meet her For the First Time in Forever in something other than a blue, floor length gown, I knew it was time to do a little school shopping for FROZEN clothes.
Come on, I don’t have a Frozen Heart, I love this movie just as much as my daughter, but truth be told, my girl would wear her Queen Elsa costume everywhere she goes. I’ve raised the white flag a few times so she’s been to the grocery store, the playground, and maybe even a doctor’s visit in one of her Queen Elsa costumes. But usually she’s just playing dress up and reenacting the movie with one of her many Frozen toys
Or she wears one of her Queen Elsa dresses outside to ride bikes and play t-ball. What can I say, she’s a multi-tasker.
When I started searching for FROZEN inspired clothes, Walmart was a great place to shop because there was a lot to pick from and priced right. So much of the FROZEN merchandise is super expensive, and for clothes she will quickly grow out of and spill chocolate milk down the front, this adorable Elsa t-shirt and Anna and Elsa dress were perfect!
At the last minute, I grabbed the FROZEN coloring book for her because she really loves the chunky crayons and I really love coloring with my gal–for the ten minutes she will actually color.
The Frozen merchandise was spread out over Walmart, but I found her dress and shirt in the Girls section and the adorable coloring book in the stationary section under the Frozen cut-out.
When I asked my FROZEN loving gal if this dress would work for her first day of school, she asked Do You Want to Build a Snowman? and fell on the floor giggling, so I think that was a yes.
It’s true, some people are worth melting for, and just like my sweet Hubby melting while she sings to him, I melt a little seeing her so happy with a few FROZEN dresses as she gets ready for her first day of preschool. So until then, we have some singing and dancing to do.
Well aren’t you creative, Ms. Songstress? 😉 😉
Oh my god she is SO ADORABLE!! Reminds me 100% of my own daughter at that age…blonde curls, dress up addict and all. We have gotta hit Walmart for back-to-school 🙂
These outfits are too cute! Makes me wish my daughter was young again.
So cute! I would have loved to get some Frozen stuff too!
How cute is she in that outfit!? I love it! I totally need to stop at my local Walmart to find that dress because my daughter would adore it!
She is adorable and so are her outfits! I hope the first day of school is great!
She is so cute. Perfect little princess.
If she loves Frozen that much, then Walmart’s prices are the way to go to stock up for it. She looks so cute in her outfits.
So many great choices!
Your daughter is absolutely adorable! Love every one of those outfits!
So cute! Looks like she loved all the Frozen goodies!
i love that she’s rocking her helmet with a costume on!! that’s how my kids are too 🙂
My friends daughters are crazy about Frozen. I have 2 boys so I missed the hoopla!
My daughter loves all things Frozen too! She’s so cute!
My toddler just loves Olaf but my boys couldn’t care less about the movie. Your daughter is an absolute cutie in her little frozen outfits. 🙂
I agree! Her daughter looks adorable!
My friends autistic daughter is 4 and loves this movie. She is non verbal but is slowly learning a few words. She says princess Anna all the time.
That is so sweet 🙂 And she is totally adorable in that blue Elsa dress!
Oh my goodness. She is a princess. My nieces are princesses too! She’s got it in her blood, nothing to do but make sure she has her princess outfits at the ready! Totes Adorbs.
Ah Frozen. It’s taken over like the plague! LOL Actually it was a great movie but I am thankful I have boys and we only have to deal with Frozen so much. Cute daughter though– and love her thrills of how she just loves Frozen!
I think that our daughters would be good buddies! My daughter loves playing dress up and we had to convince her to go to school as a “princess in disguise!”
Awww…what a cutie! It’s fun that she is SOOOO into it!
I love that she (and you) are so into Frozen. And I bet Walmart has excellent prices on all of the Frozen gear!
She is too cute and knows how to rock those outfits! I love all the Frozen clothing!
Awww she is so adorable!! We love Frozen it’s such a great movie! They need to make some boy clothes too cause my son LOVES that movie!
Adorable! My kids all love frozen. My three year old is constantly singing let it go! They’d love this!
So cute. Walmart is a great place. Clothes are good prices, especially since kids grow so quickly and clothes never seem to get their full life.
Super cute outfits. We found the last Elsa top in my daughter’s size there the other day. They also had some fun Olaf shirts that we bought.
Oh my gosh she is adorable! The outfit is fantastic too!
It’s always nice to see a kid who enjoys what she’s doing. She’s not the only girl i’ve seen wearing an Elsa gown everywhere….some of my adult feinds cosplay as Elsa, and it’s just stunning!
Oh heavens she is sooo dang cute! Love the outfits and what a fun coloring book!
Those are such adorable outfits. I can totally remember when my daughter was little and I would buy her these cute outfits
Oh my goodness, what adorable pics! My granddaughter loves playing dress up too. <3
What a fun way to celebrate back to school! Those outfits are adorable too!
haha. My 4 year old throws her imaginary crown into the “snow” also! So funny how they instantly grab onto things like that.
That was a good idea to find something else for the first day of school. Although that gown would have been so cute for the first day.
My daughter is so Frozen obsessed. If I let her, her whole bts wardrobe would have been Frozen themed!
I love this creative post! 🙂 My daughter loves Frozen, as well, and has a couple of Frozen shirts from Walmart!
Such cute outfits! I hope the first day of school is great.
Your daughter is super cute. My daughter likes frozen but she hasn’t gotten into it like I thought she would.
She looks so darling in the Frozen gown, though! You found some great outfits! I’ll have to take a look for my nieces.
My daughter would have died for this stuff! Wow, I love the outfits!
These outfits are adorable! My daughter loves Frozen.
Oh my goodness – I love all the Frozen goodies! I had 3 boys so never really had the chance to dress up little girls. 🙂
What cute outfits. I love Frozen myself… are there adult sizes!? 🙂
we all should live life like her. She’s so sweet and sassy with her spirit. Glad you found all those clothes for her.
I have always found Walmart to have great deals on kids clothes. I can just imagine your little one singing away the pictures are very cute. Thanks for sharing.
How adorable! My kids LOVE Frozen! Awesome clothes.
How exciting, the first day of preschool. All that frozen gear is too cute.
I love it. We like Frozen but aren’t quite in the love stage…I’m so glad too. 🙂 We have it but I have yet to watch it all the way through.
Girl, I like warm hugs, but I really like funny blog posts a lot. It makes ruling my kingdom a lot less frosty when people are so willing to build castles with their words. Your little munchkin is presh. Tell her I’ll build a snowman with her when it snows this winter. Or that she can come here and we’ll build a sandman. Even better. #client
I think I’d cave in to that smile as well! Besides, who DOESN’T want to wear a fun ice-blue gown all the time??
